The breakfast, freshly cooked upon order, was a particular highlight, and the dining area was aesthetically pleasing, even featuring charming salt and pepper shakers. The staff were warm and accommodating, ensuring a smooth welcome at arrival. They provided helpful recommendations for dining options on Sunday evenings when their restaurant was closed, even securing reservations for us. On-site free parking facilitated our explorations around Somerset, including visits to Cheddar Gorge and Glastonbury. While there's room for menu variation, the overall experience showcases the hotel as a sensible choice for those seeking comfort without excessive financial strain.
